Meditation & Yoga Nidra

In this 60 minute class, You will be lead through a relaxing MEDITATION practice followed by YOGA NIDRA. The Meditation will sooth the nervous system and still the mind while relieving the stresses of the day thus preparing the mind and body for Yoga Nidra or yogic sleep. Yoga Nidra is a state of consciousness between waking and sleeping, like the “going-to-sleep” stage. It is a state in which the body is completely relaxed. Peggy will guide you to this level of increased awareness and peacefulness. The yogic goal of both paths, deep relaxation (yoga nidra) and meditation are the same; a state called samadhi or a state of being totally aware of the present moment. At the end of the class, you will feel “de-stressed,” rested and restored. This class is suitable for all students. Additionally, anyone who struggles with sleep disorders will benefit from this relaxing practice.
