200-HOUR POWER YOGA TEACHER TRAINING PROGRAM
Next Training Starts October, 2019
Eb & flow Yoga Studio is the ONLY 200-Hour Yoga Alliance Power Yoga teacher training program in Chicago grounded in both Baptiste Power Vinyasa Yoga and Yin Yoga Methodology. The program director, Dr. Eboni Howard, is a Certified Baptiste Power Vinyasa Teacher, trained by Baron Baptiste and other Master Baptiste Teachers. Baptiste Power Vinyasa Yoga is a combination of yoga traditions, including Ashtanga and Iyengar. It is grounded in the physical aspects of the body and embraces innovation and adaptation to spark total transformation in your body, mind and spirit. This tradition doesn’t ask the student to fit into a prescribed model but instead supports the student to become who they really are.
AND EB & FLOW’S TRAINING PROGRAM DOES NOT STOP HERE!
Eb & flow Yoga Studio is also the ONLY yoga teacher training program in Chicago grounded in Yin Yoga. Several program faculty and studio teachers are trained in Yin Yoga by Masters Paulie Zink, Bernie Clark, Paul Grilley, and Sarah Powers. Yin Yoga enables us to dive deeper into the soft tissues of our bodies: ligaments, bones, joints, muscles. This style also supports innovation and adaptation to meet the needs of all unique bodies and levels! You will come out of this training with the foundational knowledge needed to teach Yin Yoga.
What will you learn? In addition to learning Baptiste Power Vinyasa and Yin Yoga, we will build on your personal strengths to offer yoga through discussion, practice teaching, coaching, and self-inquiry. We will begin the program by learning the foundations and traditions of the yoga practice, including the 8-fold path, (or 8 limbs) of yoga. These eight steps serve as guidelines on how to live a meaningful and purposeful life. We will cover asana/postures, history of yoga, hands-on assisting, meditation approaches, Ayurveda practices, anatomy/physiology, the human energy system, leadership and the key tools for being a powerful teacher.
Who are the faculty? Our faculty have a combined average of 18 years of yoga teaching experience, and decades of leadership and professional experience. We will build on your personal strengths to offer yoga through discussion, practice teaching, coaching, and self-inquiry. Program faculty include:
Dr. Eboni Howard: Training Director, Certified Baptiste Teacher and psychologist who has studied extensively with Baron Baptiste and Master Teachers in Yin Yoga.
Peggy Moore: Training Co-Director, certified in Yin, Baptiste Yoga, and Mindfulness Meditation Practices.

What do past graduates say?
"....When beginning [teacher training], I was not sure if I wanted to teach, but just wanted to explore my own personal practice and learn more about yoga....Through their training program I became confident in not only my own practice, my body, and my yoga journey, but in my possibility to teach as well- and my love for teaching grew and grew throughout the program. This experience not only prepared me and ignited a passion for teaching, but also transformed my life. From creating bonds with my fellow trainees and experiencing a beautiful and embracing community....I am so grateful for the experience and training that Eb and Flow provided me!" --Maureen Sullivan, 2018 Graduate
"By doing this program, I've learned so much about myself and how POWERFUL Ican be in life...giving me the tools to be the best version of myself in the service of others." -- Christina Phares, 2017 Graduate
"The training they offer is incredible and well designed. I felt I made huge transformations with my yoga practice, teaching and in my personal life from the start to the end of the program. Most importantly, I was ready to teach once it ended. This truly was a wonderful experience and life-changing." -- Natalie Eubank, 2018 Graduate
"Signing up for the Baptiste Power Vinyasa TT at Eb & Flow just felt right. I made some friends who are very special to me, I gained a solid foundation that prepared me to audition immediately after graduation. "I came in with the expectation to deepen my practice and left with a life-transforming experience. The focus on self-inquiry, leadership, and Baptiste methodology was transferable in my full-time job as an Executive Director. There were times I was very challenged emotionally and physically- the trainers (Eboni and Peggy) really care about bringing a meaningful experience and not just going through the motions. It was well worth the investment on many levels. Now I am teaching! Can't wait to do more I hope they have a level 2 soon" -- Mary Colleen (MC), 2018 Graduate
